PUBLISHING NEWS

Well, some of you may know that I had my pub date moved back with Samhain. It's now in December. Maybe not the best tactical move, as far as release date for this year, but I sure the hell didn't want anything getting put out that was less than my best. My editor and publisher jumped at the chance to get their claws into a piece of work with my current voice, so they gave me the time. (Forces one to wonder, am I really that good now, or was it that bad?? But, it wasn't that bad, or they wouldn't have bought it...)

However, this puts me in damn good standing to get an early print release next year, as SP is currently working with Lightning Source to get the books to print. And Since BORDERS just bought up 700 copies of SP's newest releases looks like my novel will actually, OMFG, be on bookstore shelves next spring!!!!

I know you cannot see it, but I am happy dancing here.

But, of course, y'all know by know that I like dancing... :)

The longer way is often the shorter way.
But it's hard to wait.

On the one hand, we have the image of happy dancing, which always brings to mind Snoopy; on the other, we have more recent images...

I guess this classes as a good news-bad news situation in one way, but I think good news-good news describes it better.

And just think - that's one heck of a Christmas present.

Yes, it is hard to wait. But, DAMN to see a book on shelves instead of just e-print, and especiall with a spring release?? Well, it's what we writers straive for. Hard to wait, bot so worth it.

I love Snoppy! I just could never get my feet to move like his... :( I like to look at it as good new/good news. Yes, Christmastime will have a lot to look forward to!

I'm a dragon freak. I have some Windstone stuff. And lots of small expensive pieces. But Dragons just do it for me. LOL!

DH took mine too! :) Guess the guys can see the *ahem* beauty in us...

And, to anyone else reading this, NO, I ain't bragging, I'm not Kelly LeBrock saying, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful..."

"Dragons just do it for me."

*wicked grin*

You do realize that there will be a dragon-related erotica piece coming soon, now, right? I never played with those beasties yet...

What wonderful news, but yes, the waiting might be worth it in the end. Just hang in there and then, enjoy the moment, oh, and don't forget to let us know so we can raise a glass or two! :-)

Ciao Bella - and thanks for the burpday wishes. :-)

You are most welcome for the burpday wishes! :) (I'll never sing that song the right way again.)

I will most assuredly keep ya'll informed of toasting occasions. I'll be raising a glass or three myself. Woot!

I think you said it all - with the Borders orders (hey I can rhyme) it may be a good postion for you to be in!

And I know they didn't just snap stuff up - they turned down a friend of mine who is multi-published - so don't worry whether you're good - you are! They wouldn't have bought in the first place nor would they take their time to let you work on it like that.

Hey, Dennie!! Happy Day After Release Day!!!

Thanks for shoring up my sagging supports, my fellow SamHellion. :) There are days that we doubt ourselves... At least I've got a good bunch of friends, online and off.
