Okay, now I never thought I would like Karl Urban as any other character than Eomer, but DOOM proved me wrong. Even though the movied sucked major a**, I ended up really liking Urban as Reaper -- dark haired, dark eyed, packing heat and bloodied up... Oh yeah! *plots to dress hubby in camo, and tech him out with cache of fire arms...*

LOL,
Sounds like you're going to have some fun!
I do not get to see "big people" films that much anymore. at least until they come out in DVD.
I may be able to see Brokeback Mountain tomorrow if my friend can get her DH to cover the kids. Mine already gave the OK.
I'll watch anything to have a girls night out.
Have fun with yours!
Big people films can be such fun, Michele! Leave the land of cartoons and Disney behind; take my hand as we dance into the dark realm of vampires, werewolves, shape shifters and hot guys with big guns! :)
Brokeback Mountain will NEVER see me. M/M gives me the oogies. >.<
Savannah,
Right beside you on the Brokeback Mountain comment. On the guns, I'm a gun-guy. Unfortunately, an old 'n cold one--not very hot anymore.
As to BBM, to me there is nothing sensual or romantic about m/m scenes. *gag*
And, as to guns, my hubby is a fire arms dealer and looks good with a teched out rifle in his hands. :)
Savannah,
If you are comfortable doing so, please send me your email address to erikivanjames@gmail.com. I would enjoy having a side-bar conversation with a fellow michigander.
If not comfortable with that, I understand.
I'm probably never going to see BBM, not out of any implicit M/M ooginess, but because I heard it was really, really boring! I'd rather stay home and watch The Fifth Element again. ;)
Erik,
I could pass your gmail addy on to my husband... We're all in Michigan. :)
Sela--
YES!! Fifth Element! Bruce! Girlfriend, you are always welcome here. :)
I usually avoid boredom at all costs, opting often to write instead of assail my mind with such ilk.
I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad , but my friend who invited me, said today, she couldn't go!
So I'm bummed. Yeah, I agree about your views on BBM, but I was looking for a girls night out and it didn't matter what the movie was. So I went to the library and got Scottish Music CD's to brood over.
And I read 1/2 the Bitten by L.A.Banks, which is a dark and sensual vampire huntress series. Man! Can that women write grit.
So, that's my night. In - again.
Poo
Oh, poo... Sorry you didn't get your Girl's Night Out, Michele! What a bummer. We're doing Girl's Night In here tonight. :) Wish you could come and hang out with us... Codequeen is coming over!
I've not read anything by L.A., but then, since I've started writing, I've not read much of anybody else's anythings... *sigh*
Savannah,
Please do pass my email to your husband. I am also an FFL although inactive as a dealer.
L.A. is awesome. Very much in the spirit of urban fantasy. And she's even better in person -- I've hardly met anyone more exuberant! She was at RWA and had dinner with a group of us and we had the best time with her!
Oh Wow!
Sela, that's wonderful!
Wish I could've been a fly on the wall.
I blogged with someone else who met her at a RWA event.
She said the same thing about L.A.
You guys are SO lucky!
