Unrequited

Wanting you,
the sweetest sorrow
that trembles on my soul,

Needing you,
the nettled bliss
that wraps about my heart,

Loving you,
the gentle pain
that gets me through the night.

Thanks Dennie! This was frome my teenaged angst years. :P I'v got a great hubby, but I just love the wording of this poem.

I have a bunch like that - they are in my drawer right now - maybe some day...

Whoa, really, from a long time ago???
When I first read it
the thought screamed
'Josiah!'

Think about it. "nettled bliss"
"the gentle pain", and "the sweetest sorrow that trembles on my soul"....
All are relevent.
Maybe you had a future vision??

All that aside. I liked it.

Future vision works for me :) And you're right, it does smack of Josiah and her misery without him. Astute observation, my Dear.
